October 23, 2005 –"No Sale" by Michael Lent opens at the Tollbooth today! This 3D installation encompasses video and large scale hanging drawings on acrylic sheets. For more info check out our press section. September 11, 2005 –"PUBLIC PARKS/PUBLIC BEACHES" by Lauren Steinhardt is currently on display at the Tollbooth. This piece is an exploration of the boundaries of public/shared space and aesthetics. With this project Steinhardt draws parallels between the ways Mt. Rainier and the Tollbooth Gallery are each held in trust for the enjoyment of the public. In addition, people are encouraged to color in the "paint by numbers" element of the project... so bring your markers with you.
