Get in on the ground floor!
ArtRod is launching our capital campaign to open a permanent exhibition space showcasing contemporary art in downtown Tacoma. We are creating an exciting new space for world class artists to present innovative work directly into the community’s path, but we need your help!
ArtRod began nearly 50 years ago (as Allied Arts and later Artist Exchange) and is proud to continue the long tradition of serving the community with projects that amaze, excite, and inspire. With the launching of our new contemporary art exhibition space we are expanding our award winning programming which includes: the world famous Tollbooth Gallery project now in its third season, touring exhibitions like Don’t Bite the Pavement, and in-print projects like Toby Room. Your support now will enable us to create a lasting home for this caliber of contemporary art in our community. Artists who have recently exhibited with us have been featured at such prestigious institutions as the Whitney Biennial, Havana Biennial, SFMoMA, Armory Show, Warhol Museum, CoCA, and Seattle Art Museum. ArtRod also works closely with emerging artists locally and around the country.
Your support will ensure that we can continue to bring high-quality exhibitions to the region, while creating a home for this work. Your contribution will make the new exhibition space a reality. Every dollar contributed goes directly to making grassroots art exhibitions possible. Our new exhibition space will bring the most exciting contemporary work to the area, while showcasing work that might otherwise not be seen.
